On songs, sight and studying

Songs
In Concert Band we're doing the theme to Mission Impossible. Today is Wednesday, the concert is on Tuesday. We had a rehearsal at lunch today, there's one on Sunday and we get half an hour missing lessons on Tuesday. As of yet, we haven't managed to succesfully play it all the way through.

I'm also in Choir, we're doing 'Immortality' and 'Stick to the Status Quo'. Neither of them are as perfect as Mrs Bailey would like them to be.

As of today, I joined Wind Ensemble, mostly to get out of an extra half hour of lessons on Tuesday.
As of yet, I haven't seen the music.

Sight
Charli got her glasses. I liked them, but they're too small for her face, she needs wider ones. They made her face look kinda round... Still, it's funny. We were discussing it in economics.

Ah, economics, oh crappy lesson of crappy lessons. Taught by Mr H, it's debateable whether he actually went on a teaching course before he began teaching us. We're the first unfortunate lot to get him for the full two year course, the year above us got one year with the old teacher, it was dropped from the GCSE syllabus for the year below us.

Anyway, I have rock solid proof that he is a total idiot. We were signing our coursework things, saying that they were all our own work and things like that. I signed mine, two A*'s of course. I sat down, and me Charli and Emma debated the reliability of his marking. After our mini discussion, we turned to him.

Me: Sir...
Mr H: Yis?
Me: Does our coursework get moderated?
Mr H: All of it gets marked, yis.
Me: I mean by the exam board
Mr H: Oh! Yis, about ten or so. We'll find out how good my marking is. *laughs*
Me: *fake smiles and laughs*
Mr H: Of course, I give a couple more marks to those who do their work and don't cause me any trouble...

Idiot.

Studying
My German Oral is becoming ever closer, it's on Monday at 10am. I'm doing higher, and while I'm pretty good at talking in my tenses and my structure isn't too bad and stuff, I'm still kind of dreading it. This is 25% on my German GCSE. 15 minutes for 25%, more than a percent a minute. Quit worrying really. I'm going to be so glad when it's all over and I never have to worry about it again.

Thing is, last time I quite enjoyed it, in a strange way. Of course, there wasn't a microphone and recorder or anything. Maybe I got a weird form of adrenaline from it. I'm such a loser...

Of course, another important thing about studying is the necessity to take frequent breaks. I use many a website for excessive revising relief.

http://www.youtube.com ~ Obvious, I will be compiling a list of things to search for. The Lost bloopers are hilarious though.
http://www.unfortunateevents.com/forum/ ~ Once you're integrated into it, this is a really great community to be a part of.
http://uk.myspace.com/ ~ Myspace, I like myspace. Only people that I actually know in person are accepted as friends however...
http://www.pointlesssites.com/ ~ Har har, some of this is very very funny.
http://www.imdb.com ~ For movie fixes. I'd reccomend making an account to post on the message boards which are very fast moving.
http://darkufo.blogspot.com/ ~ This is the main reason I created this Blogger account, so that I could post in the comments in the spoilers section. It's all about Lost.
http://www.zanorg.com/prodperso/jeuxchiants/index_eng.htm ~ A good games website. I especially like "Double Jeu", I'm the reigning champion at it.
http://www.foon.co.uk/ ~ I don't use it much but people in my economics class use it as it isn't blocked by the school servers...
http://www.google.com/addurl/ ~ This isn't so much a fun page as a useful page. It's where you add your URL to the google server so it comes up if someone performs a search. Try google searching "xylophonefairy", they're all me!
http://www.milkandcookies.com/ ~ I usually actually use this for finding solutions to things, usually found on pointless sites.
http://www.eyemaze.com/ ~ I love all the little games, I'm quite good at them 'cause I've done them so many times. Can't do chronon without walkthrough still though!

Am going to go back to the topic of this section now, and revise my German Orals. I hope some of these websites are of some vague interest to you!
